On Sept. 1, self-funded employer groups with Regence Dental coverage were introduced to our new, enhanced dental experience. Members based in Idaho, Oregon and Utah—when logged in to their account on regence.com—can now search from among all providers available in our expanded national and local dental networks, and filter search results by name, location and distance (access to the expanded networks for groups based in Washington is pending final OIC approval). And, they’ve begun receiving new, easier-to-read EOBs—all with exceptional dental customer service that’s fully integrated with medical customer service.
Our enhanced dental experience is built on the principle that good oral health is important to overall health and that minimizing health issues through preventive oral care helps maintain whole-body health. Our medical and dental plans work together to help members live healthier; that’s why we strive to make dental coverage so comprehensive, flexible and affordable for employers and employees.
Beginning with Jan. 1, 2024, effective dates, members of fully insured groups with Regence Dental coverage will have access to a better standard of care, more plan options and more value. Regence Dental plans offer rich benefits with comprehensive coverage, access to our expanded national and local provider networks, affordable coinsurance on basic and major services, and no out-of-pocket expenses for in-network preventive services. And with medical-dental integration, members with eligible medical conditions automatically receive additional dental cleanings each plan year at no extra cost.
In addition, groups will have even more coverage options to choose from:
- Voluntary employee-paid plans allow employers to offer access to comprehensive dental benefits on our expanded networks at little to no cost to their business.
- Dual Option (groups of 51+) enables groups to offer employees choice between multiple plans so they can choose the best fit for their needs and budget.
- Orthodontia coverage is available for groups with 10+ employees enrolled in dental benefits.
All offer the convenience of joint medical and dental billing and account management.
