New Blue FlexDollars card will replace OTC card and add Healthy Rewards benefits

For 2025, we’re replacing our over-the-counter (OTC) and Healthy Rewards cards with the new Regence Blue FlexDollars™ card. A prepaid MasterCard, the Blue FlexDollars card gives members a convenient way to access the benefits available through their plan.

All members on our Medicare Advantage (MA) plans will receive a new Blue FlexDollars card to access their plan’s Healthy Rewards benefits. With Healthy Rewards, members can earn up to $190 in rewards by completing certain health activities and accessing certain preventive care services—such as Annual Wellness Visits and flu vaccinations—throughout the year. Healthy Rewards services and amounts may vary by plan and member eligibility.

In addition, members on MA plans with the OTC allowance can use their new Blue FlexDollars card’s prepaid balance to buy eligible over-the-counter health and wellness items, like vitamins, sunscreen, pain relievers and more. Funds are automatically loaded onto the card throughout the year and can be used at participating stores, such as Rite Aid, Walgreens and Walmart, or online at BlueFlexDollars.com.

We will mail welcome kits—including Blue FlexDollars cards, instructions for creating an online account, and a dedicated customer service phone number—to all members. New and renewing members on plans with the OTC spending benefit will receive their welcome kits in December. New and renewing members on plans with only the Healthy Rewards benefit will receive their welcome kit once they begin earning rewards.
