The first quarter is the best time to help your groups get the most out of their benefits. By now, their employees have likely begun to use their benefits. Accessing care, improving health and saving money will be top of mind.
Here’s a checklist of three things you can do during Q1 to help put your groups—and their enrolled employees—on the path to improved health, cost savings, and a better overall health care experience.
Make sure employees create an account. When members sign in to their account on regence.com or the Regence app, they’ll unlock tools for accessing care and finding providers, comparing costs on treatment and medications, engaging in well-being programs, and enjoying savings on health-related products and services. They can opt in to email newsletters to get up-to-date guidance on public health concerns and insights about their plan benefits. Creating an account is easy. Make sure your groups urge their employees to visit regence.com/member/registration to get started.
Help small groups on metallic plans with Jan. 1 effective dates maximize wellness incentives. Now’s a good time for these groups to remind enrolled employees to complete their Health Assessment and biometric screenings before the March 31 deadline in Washington, and the April 30 deadline in Idaho, Oregon and Utah. The Health Assessment is a brief survey taken on regence.com, and the biometric screening is a short health exam that includes bloodwork, height, weight and blood pressure. Employees can choose how and where to get their screening by following instructions and links on regence.com. Learn more about small group wellness.
- Help groups understand $0 out-of-pocket preventive care that’s included in their plan. Preventive care detects issues before they become problems. Members pay nothing for preventive care, including age-appropriate examinations, counseling and procedures, lab services, immunizations, many over-the-counter and prescription medications, and pregnancy and contraception when obtained from in-network providers. Please review our Preventive Care Brochure and be sure to share it with your groups: Idaho | Oregon | Utah | Washington | Clark County
Taking these three actions during Q1 will help support your groups’ ability to get the most out of their benefits in 2023. Need more information? Contact your account representative today.
